COSY ROMANTIC COTTAGE IN PICTURESQUE VILLAGE Situated in Altarnun one of the prettiest villages in Cornwall this delightful Grade II listed cottage is over 250 years old and retains its charm and character with exposed beams granite fireplace with woodburner slate flagstone and wooden floors. It is ideal for those looking to escape and relax. The moorland village is quite small with the Post Office/shop and pub both within easy walking distance and features the stunning 15th century church of St Nonna known as The Cathedral of the Moors and used as a film location Doc Martin s wedding for the popular ITV drama. A haven for walkers and cyclists being close to Colliford Lake Crowdy Reservoir and Siblyback Lake which offers fly fishing rowing boat hire sailing windsurfing and canoeing. A great base for touring the nearby spectacular north coast peppered with pretty villages including Boscastle Port Isaac Padstow and Tintagel. The lovely south coast villages of Polperro and Looe are also close by. Local attractions include Jamaica Inn 3 miles away and Trethorne Leisure Farm and Golf Course 5 miles away. The accommodation offers TWO double bedrooms: situated on the first floor 1 double with exposed A frame beams and separate dressing room. 1 smaller double on the ground floor with en-suite shower room with WC. Bathroom: on the first floor with bath and WC. Lounge: with woodburner (first basket of logs included) TV/DVD Freeview and iPod dock. Dining hall. Kitchen: with electric cooker fridge/freezer dishwasher and microwave. Outside: enclosed rear courtyard garden with table and chairs BBQ and secure storage for bikes surfboards etc. Amenities: roadside parking.
