Situated opposite Margam Abbey at the end of a quiet no-through road the cottage benefits from free access to Margam Country Park which is accessed through the cottages private locked gate situated within the walled garden and is available to guests even when the park is closed to the public. This beautiful park includes a historic Victorian Castle 17th century orangery formal gardens rare breeds farm trail children s fairy tale village fishing lakes adventure playgrounds walking and bike trails and much more. The local area offers spectacular waterfalls countryside the Aberavon seafront and world class mountain biking at Afan Forest Park. The beautiful South Wales countryside is on the doorstep with the traditional seaside resort and surfing beaches of Porthcawl 6 miles the stunning Gower Peninsula and the bright lights of the Welsh capital Cardiff are both a 30 minute drive.
