It nestles below the Helvellyn Ridge and enjoys delightful views of the tranquil fells of High Rigg, Skiddaw and Blencathra. It is the perfect base from which to explore the Central and Northern Lakes, with excellent walking and cycling from the door and many other outdoor activities are within easy reach. For less energetic days Keswick and Grasmere are nearby.
