Manor Cottage is a Grade II listed red brick, Georgian holiday home lying opposite the church and small village green in the very attractive village of Staveley, North Yorkshire. Set in a conservation area amidst beautiful rolling countryside, Staveley provides the perfect base from which to explore North Yorkshire.
Within a 30-minute drive of the self catering accommodation are the historic towns of Knaresborough, Ripon and York as well as the elegant spa town of Harrogate with its excellent shops and restaurants.
Other attractions to visit in North Yorkshire include The RHS gardens at Harlow Carr, Ripley Castle, Newby Hall and Fountains Abbey which are all nearby. A little further afield are Harewood House, Castle Howard, Rievaulx and Jervaulx Abbeys. The holiday home is ideal for an outdoor break in North Yorkshire with the spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors offering walkers an unparalleled choice of territory to explore. For children, Mother Shipton's Well and Lighwater Valley Theme Park are both close by. There are race courses at Wetherby, Ripon, York and Thirsk.
The village of Staveley has a good ale pub and an extensive Wildlife Reserve which offers tranquil walking amongst an amazing variety of wildfowl and birds.
