Sugarloaf Barn stands next to the woods from which it takes its name - surrounded by incredible countryside, its own pond, miles of walks and views to distant Eastbourne. Quiet and secluded - but close to the neighbouring Oast, farmhouse and cottage - all sharing the Sugarloaf name. The nearby village of Brightling is famous for its collection of fascinating follies, built by the eccentric Victorian squire, John 'Mad Jack' Fuller. They include the Needle, the Observatory, and the Sugarloaf - rumoured to be the result of a bet that Fuller lost! Shop: 3 miles Pub: 3 miles Coast: 14 miles

Notes: Two steps up to main entrance - ramp available for wheelchair users. Sorry - no fish in the pond! May be booked with Sugarloaf Cottage to sleep 9.
