The property has undergone a painstaking and complete refurbishment to provide the highest quality in self catering accommodation. No detail has been left with the result a truly superb holiday cottage. The barn is on the edge of the village of Kemble, a traditional Cotswold village that is well located for touring the Cotswold region. In our opinion Little Stalls is a wonderful Cotswold bolt-hole offering real peace and tranquility. The village itself has a small shop and also the benefit of a train station with direct links to London. This has to be one of our finest holiday cottages. Accommodation overview: Perfectly positioned in a quiet setting on the edge of Bodmin Moor, this traditional stone detached barn conversion sits within a peaceful rural valley and is perfectly situated for those who wish to get away from it all.  Accessed via a long driveway, the property is set to one side of the owners stone farmhouse and within an area of outstanding natural beauty which offers an ideal rural retreat. 

With parking adjacent to the property, a stone footpath leads the front door which opens into a warm and cosy dining room, with a large a wood burning stove that warms the whole house. To one side of the dining room an open archway leads into the well equipped kitchen and to the other side of the dining room an archway leads into a spacious living room with comfortable lounge seating, large flat screen television, character vaulted ceiling and panoramic windows providing views across the garden and valley beyond.

A door leads from the sitting room into a sun room, which houses a wonderful sauna as well as the equipment that’s required for the garden and swimming pool. A perfect place to leave coats, flip flops or wellies. On one side a doorway leads into a downstairs separate shower room with steam shower, WC and basin. The French windows from the sun room lead directly onto the patio, with large swimming pool heated via solar panels. The patio also leads round to a large private hot tub, garden chairs and loungers.

A small gate from the patio leads into a garden where fish like to swim in the character ponds with rockery and plants. A large wooden table and chairs, parasol and BBQ sit alongside the ponds and are available to share with the owners next door.

To access the bedrooms, an inner hallway leads from the kitchen and provides a carpeted staircase which leads to the first floor with three separate bedrooms. Two double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with miniature hip-bath, shower over, WC and basin. One twin bedroom with additional single captain’s bed with pull out bed beneath.

Locally there are many excellent walks, fishing, golf and pony trekking available, and a network of graded cycle trails through the ancient Cardinham Woods close by, as featured on BBC Countryfile. The old county town of Bodmin with a selection of shops, pubs, leisure centre, golf club and Steam Railway is about a 20 minute drive as is Lanhydrock House and Gardens. The village of Blisland, 5 miles, has a local store/P.O. and traditional pub facing the village.

The beautiful beaches and fishing villages of the north and south coasts are within a 40 minute drive and there are many glorious gardens and visitor attractions such as the Eden Project within easy reach. Water sports and fishing are available at Siblyback Lake nearby.  A real bonus for this peaceful rural location is the easy road access to both A roads providing an ideal base for exploring the whole of the county.

Accommodation overview: This pretty detached cottage sits on the edge of the creek with gardens extending to the banks. A stable door leads into an open plan ground floor with beamed ceiling.

The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a breakfast bar. Beyond the kitchen is the dining area and a comfortable sitting area with French windows opening onto an attractive small patio and lawn on the quay side.

Upstairs are three bedrooms, all with waterside views, one with a double bed, another with twin divans and wash basin and a children's room with 2ft 6in bunk beds. The bathroom is fitted with a W.C., basin and shower over the bath.

Both Bodinnick and Polruan, which are in easy walking distance, have popular Inns providing good pub food. Fowey, with its rich variety of pubs, restaurants and cafes is 1.5 miles via the Bodinnick car / pedestrian ferry or half a mile down the creek by boat.

Guests from Pont House and Pont Quay Cottage may use this private quay, slipway and foreshore for their own and hire boats with the prior agreement of the owner. Pets are welcome at Pont but must be kept under control at all times to protect the abundant wildlife. There is a seasonal shop at Penmarlam campsite 1 mile away.

Accommodation overview: A comfortable detached single storey cottage in lovely countryside, converted from a wagon house of natural stone and slate, to one side of the entrance of Pollingarrow Farm near the picturesque village of St Kew and only a 10 minute drive from the sandy beaches of the Camel Estuary.

Set in a walled and gated garden the cottage is entered from a sheltered patio area to the front. The door opens to a slate floored hallway with an adjacent shower room W.C. and hand basin. The living accommodation consists of a spacious open plan living room with the character of the wagon house preserved in a high ceiling open to the beams in the apex of the roof. The room is light and pleasant with a pine floor and windows on three sides and a partly separated kitchen.

At the other end of the cottage a spacious bedroom has a 5' kingsize bed, hand basin and a window looking over the front patio area. There is a wall mounted electric heater in each room. At the rear a grassy fenced garden looks out over farmland and an under cover drying area has been provided.

St Kew Highway, about five minutes drive, has a pub, garage, and mini market, the village of St Kew about 3 / 4 mile has a pretty church and an old pub that offers good pub food and there is a 9 hole golf course 1 mile away.

Set on a working farm within a small Cotswolds hamlet, the barn has nearby access to the rolling countryside of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. The open plan living that the owners have created make it a real treat and clearly ideal for entertaining. Accommodation overview: Lawrence House is a spacious and very welcoming property at the Cotswolds Lakes that certainly excites us here! The property, which is located in a quiet corner of the Lower Mill Village, is a detached home sitting on the banks of a River Thames tributary with views looking towards the lakes beyond. In fact the owner tells us if you like to fish, you can't be better situated - fishing on your own private lake!! This particular holiday cottage has many positive elements as well as its location but in particular it has access to a large and private garden area which sits overlooking the lake and which is exclusive to guests in this cottage! Internally, the owner has maintained the cottage to a high standard and provides a contemporary holiday home ideal for families or small groups alike. Naturally the outdoor facilities, including the outdoor heated pool and tennis court not to mention the endless walks and cycle rides make this a very desirable cottage. This can of course be booked with other cottages located nearby within the Lower Mill Village.
