Accommodation overview: A semi detached granite cottage of considerable character, 2 miles from Lamorna Cove, a few minutes drive from the famous open air Minack cliff theatre and only a hundred yards from the historic church, village pub and the two general stores that comprise the nucleus of the little village of St Buryan.

The front entrance is through a tiny walled patio garden with flowering shrubs. From here the front door opens through a conservatory with an inner door into a long low beamed sitting / dining room with exposed granite walls, small windows, an Inglenook fireplace. There is a neat kitchen area also with low beams. At the rear of the cottage an entrance / cloaks hall has an adjacent bathroom / W.C. with shower over the bath.

Stairs go up directly from the sitting area to two bedrooms, one open to the landing, each with a double bed, one being king size. The limited space makes it unsuitable for children under 8 and large dogs. Parking on the road outside is unrestricted. Lands End is 5.5 miles.

Accommodation overview: A semi detached cottage set within a small hamlet about 2 miles from the coast at Pentewan which can be reached by car or by cycle path alongside the river.  Set to one side of the Mevagissey road and fronted by a small but very pretty walled and gated garden it is entered via a side path to a service courtyard at one side. 

A door opens directly into a small fitted kitchen with a glazed door leading into an attractive beamed sitting / dining room with comfortable seating and a fireplace with an electric fire at the further end. 

Open tread stairs go directly up to the first floor where there is a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, bath and  shower cubicle and a bedroom with a double bed.  A traditional staircase continues up to the top floor and a delightful bedroom with a 4ft double bed.   There is a useful shed for bike and beach gear storage.  

A small shop about 150 yards away has long opening hours during the season There is a bistro restaurant in the village and a pub a short walk away.  Pentewan village about 2 miles has a pub, restaurant and small shops.  Ideally situated for touring the County, the cottage is approximately midway between the Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project, with beaches and golf courses within easy reach. 

On one side of the valley between London Apprentice and Pentewan is the beautiful and ancient Kings Wood popular with walkers and cyclists.  St Austell 2 miles has a leisure centre, shops and cinema and its main line railway station and bus terminus can be easily accessed from a bus stop at London Apprentice.  The picturesque harbours of Mevagissey and Charlestown are approximately 4 miles.

Accommodation overview: Only a short drive from the picturesque harbour villages at Mullion & Porthleven this detached cottage in its own private walled garden set on a fourteen acre smallholding with Llamas, Alpacas, Goats, Hens, Ducks and Geese grazing the neighbouring fields. Goosecott is a perfect base to explore the many beautiful beaches and coves on the Lizard peninsula and it is a perfect location for country lovers being close to Gweek at the head of the Helford River.

Approached down a pretty tarmac private drive and adjacent to the owners property, known locally as the colonial cottage is Goosecott, a detached farm cottage built on sloping ground with parking for 2 cars. A gate and seven steps lead to the front door opening into the entrance porch with a partial countryside views. An inner door leads directly into a rustic kitchen / breakfast Room having a neatly fitted kitchen to one side and a farmhouse table and chairs to the other.

Leading from the kitchen down a passageway there is a downstairs bathroom W.C with hand basin and shower over the bath. Another door from the breakfast room opens into a comfortable snug with cedar panelled walls and a wood burning stove with two armchairs from here the French doors open into the conservatory spanning the width of the property with a terracotta tile floor, wooden garden dining table and chairs and door to the garden. To complete the ground floor accommodation an inner hall gives access to a pleasant sitting room, which looks out onto the enclosed garden, with two sofas arranged before a wall mounted electric fire.

A steep carpeted staircase, with nine treads, leads to a landing dividing to the left and right with two further steps to the double bedroom on the right and two steps to the left giving access to a dressing room with W.C and hand basin and a twin bedroom. The garden is overlooked from all three upstairs rooms.

A small enclosed courtyard to the front with a path gives access to the rear garden with a small patio area. From the patio a single step allows access to the small lawn with raised flower bed and a path and gate leading to the private drive. The garden is enclosed by a Cornish hedge and stone wall.

The old Stannary Market town of Helston offering a selection of shops, pubs and a supermarket is 1.5 miles. The larger centres of Truro, Penzance, St Ives and Falmouth all within a 30 minute drive. The harbour side village of Porthleven with its sandy beach is only 4.5 miles. Praa Sands with its mile long golden sandy surf beach and Mullion golf course are both within easy reach as are the the glorious gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan.

The viewing area for the RNAS Culdrose is 1 mile away and offers an excellent opportunity to watch the daily activity of the aircraft based at the station with Flambards Theme Park a 5 minute drive.

A stable door opens under heavy blooms of wisteria in summer, directly into a useful entrance porch with coat pegs on the wall and the original low front doorway leads into a small lobby.  On the left, one step leads down to a neatly fitted kitchen with the original slate flagstones and on the opposite side of the lobby, one step leads up to a charming beamed dining room with pine furniture and an electric log effect fire in the hearth.

A rather steep and narrow carpeted staircase leads up from the lobby to the first floor landing and three pretty cottage-style bedrooms all with washbasins; there is a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and one with a single bed.  A stable door opens from the sitting room to an enclosed patio that provides a lovely sun trap and visitors are welcome to make use of the shared lawned garden surrounding the cottages reached by half a dozen steps.  There is on-site parking for one car adjacent to the cottage. 

The seaside resort of Bude with its golden sandy beaches, selection of shops and restaurants,and a leisure pool is approximately 2 miles by road.  It is possible to walk or cycle to Bude along the scenic canal footpath passing through farmland and a nature reserve, surfing,fishing, golf and horse riding are also available locally.  The picturesque villages of Boscastle, Tintagel and Clovelly are all within half an hour’s drive.

Accommodation overview: A pretty 17th century detached cottage full of charm and character, the old forge was once part of the Earl of Wharncliffe's estate and is set beside a narrow road in the ancient borough of Bossiney, just half a mile from Tintagel, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur and a 10 minute walk from Bossiney Cove.

Sympathetically furnished to compliment many original features, the cottage has slight changes of level and is entered from the road by a few steps leading up to the front porch and an inner glazed door opens directly into a light and sunny sitting room with an electric living flame fire in the stone fireplace, warm and comfortably furnished.

An inner hallway leads to a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and an attractive double bedroom, with a 5ft bed and deep window seat looking across to the methodist chapel and Bossiney Mound, famed for where Sir Francis Drake was proclaimed MP.

A pleasant dining room, with oil fired Rayburn for background heat in the colder months, still has the original ledge and brace door leading out to an extension at the rear with a bright and spacious modern fitted kitchen with a double oven and a window overlooking the sheltered garden. The back door opens from here to a pretty little cottage garden with mature shrubs and 3 steps leading up to the lawn area surrounded by a cornish stone and hedge border.

Parking for one car is available on the sloping drive at one end of the property. The nearest beach is Bossiney Cove which has fine sand at low tide reached by a 10 minute walk down a fairly steep incline. The famous ruins of Tintagel castle and Merlins sea cave below are approximately 1 and a half miles. King Arthurs Great Halls / Information Centre and a good selection of local shops, pubs and restaurants are within one mile. The attractive NT harbour at Boscastle is 3 miles and the coastal footpath is very close by leading to the dramatic Rocky Valley. St Nectans Glen is approximately 1 mile.
