2 The Oaks is a beautiful 19th century semi-detached sandstone cottage, situated in a very quiet rural location between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye, both seven miles away. The cottage is a mile from the village of Hoarwithy which has a brilliant local pub (the New Harp Inn) situated next to the River Wye, which serves excellent food and local beers and also houses a small convenience shop.
This is a wonderful walking location with direct access to footpaths from the garden. Cycling can also be enjoyed by following the many bridleways and tracks in the area.
Monmouth lies 15 miles to the south with its wonderful castles, and white water canoeing is just 10 miles away at Symonds Yat. The Forest Of Dean is around 20 miles away, and has many attractions including cycling, mountain biking, walking, a steam railway, Hopewell Colliery Museum and Go-Ape. Just over the border the Brecon Beacons await. To the North West (50 minutes' drive) is the border town of Hay-on-Wye, famous for its Literature and Arts festival.

The Grade II listed Hop Kiln adjoins Great Catley in a stunning rural setting with wildlife, footpaths and cycle routes surrounding it and the Malvern Hills in the distance. The property, which dates back to the 16th century, was once a working hop and cider farm but now comprises luxurious living within a traditional stone and oak structure with many old features that were used at that time for hop making.
It is situated in the hamlet of Catley, a mile from the village of Bosbury and only 20 minutes from the M50. Two local pubs are within a mile and a half, the Bell at Bosbury and the Oak at Staplow. Bearwood House is a half-timbered property in an idyllic rural holiday setting. The House is adjacent to but entirely separate from Bearwood Cottage. If the house and cottage are booked together there is ample space in the dining room to accommodate 15 guests.
Endless entertainment is provided. In the sunken garden there is a luxury outdoor hot tub for 6 people. The games room contains a pool table, tennis table and darts board. Six bicycles including a tandem, croquet, badminton, boules and many other garden games are provided. There is a Wii, a playstation 2, an iPod docking station and a good selection of board games. The house is set in grounds of more than an acre with an arboretum, sunken garden and loggia.
The 15c New Inn, post office, delicatessen and farm shop are a mile away in the picturesque "black and white" village of Pembridge. The Michelin-starred Stagg Inn is within 15 minutes' drive and the market towns of Ludlow (with a further 2 Michelin-starred restaurants) and Hay-on-Wye are within 25 minutes' drive. Golf at England's highest golf course and flying lessons are nearby. Numerous other outdoor pursuits can easily be arranged.

Old Burfa is a late 15th century house which has been extensively refurbished and restored over the last 30 years. Its retained charm, making it an unusual house that many like to visit.
Located in the hamlet of Evenjobb overlooking the Brecon hills, Old Burfa is just 18 miles west of Leominster.
There are many attractive towns that are nearby. Presteigne and Kingston offer a variety of good quality shopping including a thriving craft industry.
The Oak at Titley is recommended, with its Michelin Star. The Harp Inn at Old Radnor just three miles away, serves great food and local ale and has a lovely sitting out area where you can enjoy views of the countryside.

There is a mainline station at Leominster.
