Accommodation overview: Ryeworth Cottage, Kingham is an exceptional Cotswold Holiday Cottage set in one of the areas most desirable and attractive villages, roughly equi-distant between Burford and Chipping Norton. The village has everything you could want for a Cotswolds' break, including award winning pubs and a comprehensive local store. It has many excellent walks surrounding it, but perhaps of great appeal to some is the convenience of the Daylesford Organic (described in The Telegraph as 'the UK's poshest shop'!!) The cottage, which is semi detached, is a simply stunning holiday home spread across four floors with spacious rooms throughout. The large welcoming living space, plus the three bathrooms (for three bedrooms) make this a thoroughly attractive option. However and perhaps most amazing, if this is possible, is the swimming pool and steam room (Turkish Hammam) which are of the highest quality and for guests' use. In addition and on request, is a tennis court. This holiday cottage really has it all and is suitable for customers who expect the very best in self catering accommodation. Accommodation overview: Little Barn, ETB 4 stars, is a wonderful renovated stone barn which faces South overlooking farm fields. Detached from the main village in a peaceful and secluded valley  surrounded by oak trees, Little Barn is a popular holiday cottage which has been converted to a high specification. Exposed beams and solid pine doors and furniture, with flagstone floors downstairs and fitted carpets upstairs create a rich, cosy property with a welcoming ambience. From the cottage, there is a large secure courtyard facing south with large pots of flowers and garden furniture. Ascott is a small peaceful hamlet about half a mile beyond Whichford. ACCOMMODATION: Excellent Kitchen / Dining Room with a high ceiling and exposed beams, fully fitted and equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and hob, fridge (freezer in outhouse), microwave. Archway Cottage is a delightful cottage which was once part of an old brewery in Milton-under-Wychwood, a delightful Cotswold village. The property was completely renovated a few years ago and is furnished in a contemporary style with an emphasis on modern comfort.

The village has a post office and a small supermarket. It is located a mile from Shipton-under-Wychwood (which has three pubs, the Lamb, the Wychwood Inn and the Shaven Crown.) Also within a 15-minute drive are the top local pubs/restaurants, such as the Feathered Nest in Westcote, the Chequers in Churchill, the Toll House and the Plough can be found in Kingham, which also has the award-winning Daylesford Organic Farm shop and a mainline station to London Paddington.

There are three lovely market towns within 10 miles - Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton. A little further afield are Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon. Many delightful country house gardens are in the neighbourhood and also many wonderful walks in all directions.

This self-catering luxury retreat is only a few minutes' walk from the upper reaches of Dovedale and Manifold Valley in the Peak District National Park. The Royal Oak, a good eating pub, is 100 yards away. Ivy House can be booked together with Reading Room (DE005), which is adjacent and sleeps four guests. There is an interconnecting door between the two properties with low headroom.

Sparrows Roost details

Sparrows Roost is a lovely, detached barn conversion, ideally located on the edge of the Peak District National Park. This stunning property has been newly renovated to a very high standard, whilst retaining its original, quirky character.

The cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Alderwasley, in a peaceful and relatively undiscovered area just a few miles from Matlock. The area is rich in history and is within easy reach of the Derwent Valley Mills world heritage site, Bakewell and Ashbourne, and the country houses of Chatsworth, Haddon and Hardwick. It makes a perfect base for walking in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside and is surrounded by woods and valleys, with stunning views.

The well known Bear Inn is less than half a mile away, and you can walk across the fields, enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding hills and woodland. The quirky, historic market town of Wirksworth is just two miles away, and has shops, pubs, a couple of very nice restaurants and several take-aways.

Dogs are welcome and there are beautiful walks right from the door. The owners have prepared detailed maps and directions for walks around the cottages, so you can find the prettiest footpaths and best views (and avoid cows and other hazards!)
