Accommodation overview: Netherton Farm is set in a small peaceful hamlet in a secluded valley surrounded by five acres of beautiful farm and woodland, seven miles from Salcombe in one direction and Dartmouth slightly further in the other. This area is a haven for birds and wildlife and a favourite for walkers (with or without a four-legged friend!) and cyclists. All guests at Netherton have use of the owners fabulous heated outdoor swimming pool (from May until early October, weather permitting) as well as access to the large communal grassed area.Boxtree Barn is a delightful stone and wood-clad cottage, presented to an excellent modern standard whilst retaining many original features. Rampisham Hill Farm Barn is a light and airy barn that has recently been converted to a very high standard. The property is located in Thomas Hardy country in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just outside the pretty village of Hooke and a short drive away from the small town of Beaminster and the beaches and cliffs of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.

There are excellent walks and cycle rides across the West Dorset countryside directly from the property, with the Iron Age Fort of Eggardon Hill and the nature reserves of Kingcombe and Powerstock Common all nearby, along with many other historic towns and villages. The barn is located on a working sheep farm and guests are welcome to meet and help look after the animals.

A number of good pubs are within a 10 minute drive away such as The Three Horseshoes at Powerstock and the Acorn at Evershot. Also within a 10 minute drive are plenty of local services and conveniences found in either Maiden Newton or Beaminster.

Poppy's Cottage, one of four terraced cottages, is situated in a peaceful no-through lane in Baunton village overlooking the picturesque church of St Mary Magdalene. Recently renovated to a very high standard this charming traditional cottage offers an ideal base for exploring the numerous attractions nearby.

The historic town of Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds, is a five minute drive away (30 minutes on foot) and has many unique shops and restaurants. Cheltenham, a 20 minute drive, hosts many festivals and the Gold Cup. For walkers there is a wide choice of walks, including the well known Monarch's Way right on the door step.

Other points of interest within easy reach include Westonbirt Arboretum (20 miles), Tetbury (15 miles), Bibury (10 miles), Slad Valley (10 miles) and the Royal Agricultural College (five miles). There are many easily accessible country pubs. An efficient local hire company delivers and collects bicycles direct to the door seven days a week. There are numerous local riding facilities and all types of water sports at South Cerney Water Park (five miles).

Baunton is a quiet, pretty Cotswold village two miles north of Cirencester and approximately one and three quarter hours by car from Central London along the M4 and A419. There is a fast and regular train service from Paddington to Kemble Station, 10 minutes by taxi from Baunton.

Although the village has no pub or shop there is extensive shopping in Cirencester, and the area is served by a wide choice of country and town-centre pubs and restaurants, each with its own character and charm. A popular local country pub, 40 minutes on foot from the cottage along country paths, is the Bathhurst Arms, with buckets of atmosphere and serving good food.

There are extensive opportunities for walking in and around Baunton and for all types of outdoor sports in the immediate locality. South Cerney,10 minutes by car, is a centre for all types of water sports. There are numerous riding schools within easy reach. Talland House is a world-class riding centre, 10 minutes by car from the cottage. Polo is also available at the Cirencester Polo Club (five minutes) and the Long Dole Polo Club (15 minutes).

Accommodation overview: A semi detached granite cottage of considerable character, 2 miles from Lamorna Cove, a few minutes drive from the famous open air Minack cliff theatre and only a hundred yards from the historic church, village pub and the two general stores that comprise the nucleus of the little village of St Buryan.

The front entrance is through a tiny walled patio garden with flowering shrubs. From here the front door opens through a conservatory with an inner door into a long low beamed sitting / dining room with exposed granite walls, small windows, an Inglenook fireplace. There is a neat kitchen area also with low beams. At the rear of the cottage an entrance / cloaks hall has an adjacent bathroom / W.C. with shower over the bath.

Stairs go up directly from the sitting area to two bedrooms, one open to the landing, each with a double bed, one being king size. The limited space makes it unsuitable for children under 8 and large dogs. Parking on the road outside is unrestricted. Lands End is 5.5 miles.

Please note: Bed linen is available at £10 per bed, per week payable on arrival. Towels are not available.

A door leads from the dining area into a well equipped fitted kitchen.

There are two pleasant bedrooms both with convector heaters, a twin and a double, both enjoying  woody tranquil views. The double bedroom has an en suite bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. Opening from the hallway a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and separate shower cubicle completes the accommodation, which is entirely on the level.

Adjacent to the parking area is a brick bbq for the exclusive use of this property. There is parking available for 2 cars with further spaces on request.
