Entered through a walled pathway at the front, the stable door opens into a hallway with a coats area and an inner door leads through to a charming beamed sitting room with comfortable seating facing the fireplace, a unique oriel window and splendid views of the beach with boats of all sizes on the water. At the rear of the cottage is a pleasant kitchen/dining room with smart fitted units, country pine dining furniture and a rear stable door opening out to the private terrace.
Carpeted stairs lead up from the sitting room to a landing, a bathroom with hand basin and shower over the bath, a separate W.C. and three attractive bedrooms. At the front is a large bedroom with zip linked beds giving the option of two singles or a 6ft double with windows overlooking the beach and far out to sea, a view shared with a light and airy single bedded room. Facing the rear, a kingsize double bedroom in a restful decor completes the accommodation.
To one side of the cottage, a couple of steps lead up to a secluded sun terrace which has a slight drop down to the path and there is also a useful former boathouse available for storage of bicycles and beachgear. It is possible to unload outside the property but parking is in the village car park less than 5 minutes walk away. The sand and shingle beach with rock pools is ideal for safe bathing and all forms of water activity and a summer ferry service departs from the beach and operates to Plymouth landing at the Barbican but it is not advised that guests rely on public transport for this property.
Cawsand itself has a pub and hotel and a lovely walk along the seas edge leads to the delightful twin village of Kingsand which has a P.O. and a few local shops. There are splendid walks along the coastal path to Mount Edgcumbe Country Park and out to Rame Head which is a haven for birdwatchers. Coarse fishing and golf are also available locally.

Accommodation overview: With magnificent coastal views of the sea across Cawsand Bay to Plymouth Sound, this recently renovated and extended cottage is set on the South West coastal footpath that leads through the heart of the small unspoilt village of Cawsand.
