Lots to see and do nearby with Tapeley House and Gardens being a 5 minute drive away. Other attractions include The Big Sheep The Milky Way both offer indoor and outdoor activities and events for all the family. The golden sands at Westward Ho! are popular with beach lovers and offer excellent opportunities for surfing and body boarding. Instow itself has a selection of small shops an excellent mini-supermarket superb riverfront hotel and a selection of restaurants and pubs all of which offer food. Wander along the promenade and enjoy a locally made Hockings ice cream sit amongst the sand dunes and watch the sailing boats bobbing up and down or have a go at a variety of water sports which can be organised on the beach. Across the estuary is the small fishing village of Appledore which has a history of seafarers and ship building and is worth a trip across the water.
