The village is on the western coast of the Cotentin Peninsula, 18 km north of the pretty resort of Granville which is built on a rocky spur. The Upper town boasts a rich architectural heritage with many fine buildings including old picturesque houses and mansions dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. Visit the house of Christian Dior, the Aquarium at Pointe du Roc and the popular casino. Water sports activities are also possible from Granville along with ferries to Jersey and the Channel Islands, an ideal day trip. The famous Mont St Michel is also well worth a day trip, 60km. Cherbourg ferry port 89 km.
